Or, perhaps, it is because you hardly slept a wink last night, my lady.
I-I couldnt help it! I was excited!
Hahaha! Well, I get the feeling.
Heehee... actually, it may not look like it, but I'm pretty excited myself!

Let's start with the new Three Houses cards, which are being released under the new "Crest of the Goddess" symbol! This time, we focus on the story from the perspective of a protagnist who has chosen the Black Eagles class... revolving around Edelgard and her classmates!
So, obviously, we will be starting off with this character!
Waaah! It's Miss Edelgard! So dignifiiied!
And she cuts such a striking figure as emperor. Powerful, she looks like she will be an active force on the battlefield!
I'd like to draw your attention to the Crest Power skills that cards under the Crest of the Goddess symbol have!
If I recall, those were skills that you can use while the card is in your hand without deploying it... am I correct?
Right... they make a reliable ally... but a troublesome foe...
Next up, the Black Eagles class! We have a lot of these cards!
There were a couple of them in the last set, but it looks like they have cards of them after the 5-year timeskip!
This is Linhardt's first time appearing, isn't it? Doesn't this mean the entire Black Eagles class has debuted in Cipher now...?
Oy, look at the skill on this Hubert... what a dirty trick! He's got an interesting way of fighting!
Ufufu... make good use of it!
Next up... these students' teacher. Tada!
We have the protagonist Byleth, and the mysterious girl who has appeared in her heart, Sothis!
This Byleth... she's in her Enlightened One outfit, isn't she! Such lovely clothes!
And Sothis is so cute! I'm glad she has a signed card. Val!
Yes, my lady! We will have to secure one!
She isn't just with impressive appearance, but impressive skills too.
"Guidance of Flames"... "Divine Pulse"... Both very interesting...
Heehee... Niamh... shall we have a battle to see who can make better use of them?
..........
In Three Houses, there are three classes! Students from Dimitri's Blue Lions class and Claude's Golden Deer class appear in this set as well!
Mister Sylvain and Mister Lorenz! This is their Cipher debut too, I think!
The flowers suit Sir Lorenz well. This Sylvain seems to be after the timeskip... and he seems to have the Magic Lance, does he not...?
Annette and Lysithea too... nice to see them all grown up!
Since Three Houses is set in a monastery military academy... of course, we will see characters from the Garreg Mach Monastery, including Archbishop Rhea!
Ahh! It's Miss Flayn! She so cuuute!
Wow! Lady Catherine... even Sir Cyril! I'm pleased to see cards of them!
Glad to see some more old guys like me--they've got Seteth and Alois!
...and I think that's about it for new characters!
There weren't many Crest of the Goddess cards in series 18, but with the introduction of series 19, seems like you can make a wide variety of decks now! That's gonna be fun!
Ufufu... and the Crest of the Goddess cards aren't the only fun in series 19. We have a lot of cards under the Banner of the Holy War symbol as well!
If I recall, this time... the focus is on the parents and children of "Genealogy of the Holy War", their battle and the wishes they inherited, correct?
What could that mean, I'm super interested! Shade! Hurry up and show us the cards!
Of course! Well then, first, the mothers and fathers!
Prince Quan from Leonster and King Eldigan of Nordion! And... Mister Arden, knight of Chalphy!
Oh! Arden's got the leg ring equipped! Jamke's got his killer bow too, enemies'll have to watch out for that.
This Sigurd card... sniffle...
...when you think of what comes after this, one can't help but want to cry...
I-is this... that scene where Lady Aideen desperately attempts to protect everyone!?
Indeed... that devastating moment... the first generation's tale comes to a close... and that of their children begins.
Th-This connected illustration of Leif, Seliph, and Ares... doesn't it look just like the one of Quan, Sigurd, and Eldigan from Series 6?!
Even though the time has changed, their bond lives on through their children... that's what I take from it. How moving!
Is Larcei holding... Balmung!? In the game, depending on who her parents are, she has the blood to wield it... but mechanically she can't get it, right?
So this is an "if" scenario based on if she could... cards like this are the draw of Cipher...
Inherited friendships... legendary weapons... However, a mighty foe stands in the way of Seliph and his friends!
Julius, Prince of darkness! And... Manfroy, leader of the Loptyr Church! What formidable foes!
Oh, my... are these people Evil...? Perhaps we should use them as a blood offering...!
W.. waiiit! You're going to catch someone in the crossfire who you can't really call evil!!
...Ishtar is right in the middle there!
She possesses a righteous heart, but sullies her hands for the sake of love... the depiction of such complex characters is most certainly one of Genealogy of the Holy War's charms.
And not only that! The parents also appear to guide their children in their battles against these powerful foes!
Miss Deirdre... this is the scene where Julia escapes, isn't it? And the ghost of Mister Sigurd, or how he appeared to Seliph when he was lost in thought!
And Sir Lewyn as he appears in the second generation. What an image it makes, all of the heroes who lost their lives arranged in the background like this...
sob... I can't look at this without crying either...!
Sigurd and even Lewyn's cards... they have deployment costs of 0... and yet, at the end of the turn, they disappear from the battlefield...
These cards will make sense to those who have played Genealogy of the Holy War, no doubt.
And, and, aaand! These cards together form a depiction of the second generation, their destined battle, and their march towards hope!!
Wooooow! It's the entire second generation! How... how radiant!
After winning the final battle and defeating evil at last... Seliph becomes king and creates a new chapter in history with his friends... that's the sort of feeling I get from this card. How wonderful!
This card has one of those skills that lets you win the game just by using it... like that Marth card, yeah? Pretty amazing, feels perfect for ending a battle that's lasted two generations over.
Julia has a skill that empowers her through your bonds... interesting...
The illustrations and skills are packed with the charm of Genealogy of the Holy War! Definitely get them for yourself!
Whew... and that's about it for the introductions.
What did you think? This set is full of cards that really demonstrate the appeal of the games they represent, don't you think?
Without a doubt... Three Houses and Genealogy of the Holy War are both character-driven games full of complexity, which is clearly reflected in their cards.
I must strengthen my Crest of the Goddess deck immediately... I want to try my hand at Crest Powers!
This guy wants to try winning a match with Seliph's "Coming of the Holy King" skill.
There are many cards I must research this time too... the verification and testing process for each card must be carried out by using them in combination with many cards of other symbols...
There are so many unique abilities that would be fun with other decks, too!
Heehee... this will be my first time making a deck for myself... I hope I can make one that I can use to punish those who misbehave...
Well, in that case... we must go to the card shop.
We've waited long enough! See you all at the card shop everyone!
And you all as well...
