Cipher Frontier Issue 15
Issue 15: The Winter 2016 Broadcast Special's Various Announcements!

Hello everyooone!

Today we come bearing a report on the contents of the
Nico Nico Livestream held on 2/13: Fire Emblem Cipher: Winter 2016
Special Live Broadcast!
There's just way too much going on now that Cipherfest is over!
Producer Kawade's definitely bitten off more than he can chew!
There is but one month left before the release of Series 4, so there is a wealth of content to go over.
That’s right! This stream was packed with information.
Let's get on with introducing it, shall we?
First off, we had two special guests join us today:
Michihiko Hagi, voice of Path of Radiance’s Ike and Marika Kouno, voice of Fates’ Midori.
Both are the voices of characters featured in series 3 cards.
Mister Hagi looked so natural in Mister Ike's cape!
Kouno’s imitation of Midori searching for herbs was so cute, too~!!
The two put on their professional voices and read out character lines, in addition to some of the poetry written at Cipherfest’s Haiku Corner. The Cavalier Duo, Morishita and Kanazaki, performed as well. It was lovely.
After that, information on series 4! The below information was announced:
  • The titles featured will be Mystery of the Emblem, Awakening, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
  • The booster pack series will be entitled “Shimmering Illusongs”,
and the starter deck will be entitled “Mirage”
  • It will release Thursday, March 17th
  • Booster pack boxes will contain one of two kinds promo cards for Series 5, and one of two packs of original card sleeves (5 sleeves per pack)
  • Starter decks will contain a number of limited edition Special Cipher Stickers
The sleeves contained in the Booster Pack boxes will feature the following designs!
Tadaaaaaa!
I see, both designs are based on official box art this time.
Look at those Awakening sleeves, Sir Chrom and his allies fighting so bravely—I have my eye on those!
I definitely prefer the ones based on Mystery of the Emblem from the SNES!
They're splendid, positively splendid~!!
I really like the stickers that come with the starter deck, too. If you stick them on a standard deck box, you can make it Cipher-themed!
Everyone's favorite Otherworldly Salesman Kitanishi has one on his computer.
Well, I can think of plenty of places where I could put one myself.
Next up, the new cards they showed off.
Here they all are!
Miss Lucina, Miss Morgan, and little Yumina… so cute!
Mister Hardin and Mister Basilio look really cool here, too!
My interest was with the new skills they introduced—the Carnage Form and Mirage Emblem skills that #FE's mirages sported,
as well as Sir Marth and Lady Lucina's Fate Emblem.
Next up, they showed off some new illustrations for series 5.
Series 5 will feature Binding Blade and Radiant Dawn at the forefront!
Ohhh~!
These ones are Mister Rutger and Miss Clarine, and Mister Sothe and Miss Sanaki!
The day the cards are completed is still far off... but I await it eagerly!
They reported on Cipherfest as well, but we already covered that.
Take a look here if you're interested.
And after that... I can hardly believe it, but they even announced which titles will be the focus of series 6!
They will be... drumroll, please!

Fates: Revelation and

Genealogy of the Holy War!!

Fates’ half of the series focuses mainly on the events of the game as witnessed by Nohr,
with special focus on Sir Xander–who is depicted from his time as a humble Cavalier until he becomes King.
They said there are gonna be all sorts of characters we haven’t seen yet, so I’m really looking forward to it!
And… Genealogy of the Holy War finally makes its debut!
Finally! Ahh, I’m getting emotional!!
Umm… I don’t really know anything about Genealogy of the Holy War, actually…
You don't!?
Nor do I. It was before my time.
What!? Huh!? U-Ughhh...
Ahem! W-Well!
For those of us who might not be familiar,
Producer Kawade prepared a presentation to introduce the gist of the game's story.
It looks a little... sloppy...
I still don't quite grasp it... it is awfully cute, so it had my interest!
Genealogy of the Holy War was released for the SNES in 1996, the fourth title in the Fire Emblem series. Its main draw is the drama built on its solid character interactions and story!
And featuring characters from Genealogy of the Holy War,
some as-of-yet-unfinished illustrations of Lady Edain and Sir Lewyn created for series 6 were shown!
Ohh, so cool! The holy war seems very cool!
Series 6’s main visual was designed by Rika Suzuki!
We've seen her illustrate some wonderful cards for us already,
so I am looking forward to seeing more from her!
In fact, Lady Rika Suzuki illustrated for series 4.
Sir Touma Akagi and Sir Cain, in heated battle!
Sir Michalis, elder brother of Lady Minerva, looking powerful as ever!
Miss Rika Suzuki even drew a celebratory illustration for series 6's announcement!
Ahhh! Seeing Sigurd and Xander side-by-side...
I'm so happy! I'm so happy to be alive to see something like this~!
Is it me, or is the atmospher getting a little... weird?
Let her be, Emma. More importantly…
I look forward to seeing which of the two men is stronger!
That's so like you, Miss Yuzu! Always calm and collected!
Ah! Right! I still have a job to finish!
A-all this is to say, there was quite a lot of information presented today!
Those of you who missed the broadcast, or just want to watch it again, we've got you covered!
